Welcome to The Hughes' Shore Thing Cottage. Get ready for a new favorite beach spot. Our beach cottage is located in the 100 acre gated community of Venture Out at the far east end of Panama City Beach next to St. Andrews State Park. Take a short ride in the golf cart across a quiet street to enjoy the emerald green waters and sugar white sands of the gulf. Maybe fishing is your idea of a good time on Grand Lagoon. There is a fishing pier and boat launch as well.
Good to know
Parking spaces are tight. Please pull forward far enough so your back tires are in the driveway or tires are against the curb. You may pull on to the curb as well. There is resort/amenity fee of $80 dollars per vehicle. The first vehicle fee is included in your booking fee. If you are bringing a second vehicle you will be responsible for the fee for the second vehicle. You will receive an email from "Camp Life" prior to your arrival. You will need to register your vehicle(s) here and will pay here for the second vehicle if applicable. There is a maximum of 2 vehicles per unit. There is one step up to the front entrance without handrails or the side entrance has no step. Once inside there are 2 steps to the bedrooms and bathrooms with a handrail.

All garbage must be taken to trash disposal area at the back of the property near the playground

Free beach chair service included. (2 Chairs, 1 Umbrella) Tips are encouraged. Every guest will need to register their vehicles with the main office for a separate resort/amenity fee of $80 per vehicle. The first vehicle fee is included in your booking. There is a 2 car limit per lot. 1 vehicle can park in the driveway and 1 in the street next to or on the curb.

Venture Out is a 100- acre resort that stretches from the Lower Grand Lagoon down to the Gulf of Mexico for a unique experience like none other on the Beach. You can enjoy the best of both the bay and the ocean. Venture Out resort amenities include private beach access, mini golf, 2 pools, 1 baby pool, tennis/pickle ball courts, shuffle board, basketball court, playground, Ice vending, beach friendly wheelchair, fishing pier, boat launch, boat slips and charcoal grills.
Guest Access
In addition to having the entire home to yourself there are community amenities as well. Free access to putt-putt golf, tennis/pickleball courts, shuffleboard, basketball court, fishing pier, boat launch, playground, 2 pools, golf cart, and beach chair service. There is also a vending machine as well as a handicap wheel chair available for rent.
Find us
Every guest will need to register their vehicle with the main office for a separate resort/amenity fee of $75 each. This fee is not included in your total booking fees. There is a 2 car limit per lot secondary to limited space. 1 vehicle can park in the driveway and 1 in the street. Any additional cars over that can pay for overflow parking in a communal area. Once you arrive you will have access to our private golf cart that can be driven by a licensed driver anywhere in the community including across the designated cart path to the beach access. The speed limit is 10mph throughout. The golf cart is not street legal and driving off Venture Out property is not permitted.
